Yes, Boston Retail’s ecoSeries recycled content bumper guards can contribute towards earning LEED points in commercial construction and renovations projects. If you aren’t familiar with LEED, check out the United States Green Building Council’s website at usgbc.org .

The ecoFlex, ecoSuperFlex, and ecoRigid plus+ wall and corner bumper guards all contain high percentages of recycled content. They can contribute towards earning Material and Resources credits 4.1 and 4.2 for recycled content.

ecoFlex and ecoSuperFlex: 80% recycled content
ecoRigid plus+: 95% post-consumer recycled content

All recycled bumper claims by Boston Retail are validated by UL Environment’s Environmental claims validation process, so you’re assured the back up you need when filing your LEED project. UL Environment certification letters can be found at bostonretail.com and in UL Environment‘s search database.

Our new 95% post-consumer content UL Environment certified bumper system makes recycling work. In fact, the ecoRigid plus+ “closes the loop” in recycling. In recycling lingo, it means purchasing products manufactured with post-consumer waste, product used by the consumer, discarded and diverted from the solid waste stream, then recycled. As consumers, buying recycled has both economic and environmental benefits. When we buy recycled products, we create an economic incentive for recyclable materials to be collected, manufactured and marketed as new products. This saves resources for future generations.
